Permitted noise levels are regulated by the urban environmental protection ordinances of the municipality where the property is located. In the city of Madrid, the Ordinance for the Protection of the Atmosphere against Pollution by Energy Forms applies, prohibiting construction work inside homes from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. on weekdays, and from 9 p.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
